Today was another wonderful day in "the city" (east coast style). We got great local bagels then went and got iced coffee at Magnolia (again). And then headed towards times square to check out all the sites our travelers are going to see on their trip here next fall. On the subway trip we were serenaded by some mariachi singers (apparently a common occurrence in NY).
After Times Square we headed over to Hell's Kitchen for lunch at Lenny's deli. Then cruised over to Chelsea/The Meat Packing district and went to the Chelsea Market and had tea and went to Sarabeth's and I bought great jam, strawberry/rhubarb.
Then we had a few hours to kill before dinner and didn't want to go all the way back up-town so we perched at a great bar/restaurant Vento and had some wine and enjoyed the beautiful "early" spring day. We then ventured over to The Spotted Pig for what was toted to have the "best hamburgers" only to find that the meat wasn't up to par for the day and they were therefore not serving hamburgers. We were able to find a great substitute…not to worry.
We are now at home unwinding and getting ready for an early night. tomorrow is my last day and i have an afternoon flight back to Cali. i'm going to head back to Time Square again for somemore face to face time to connect with our hotel for our Cal Discoveries trip. It's been a quick trip but we have done a lot, seen a lot and most importantly were able to have some great girl time catching up.
